Halloween!

We spent Halloween with my parents in Arizona. Lilly was a little grumpy on the trip. At first, she would not let us put her costume on. But, she got excited to see the trick-o-treaters at the door and soon we dressed her up as Tinker Bell and pushed her around the neighborhood. She had her first lollipop and she loved it!

Scout's 3rd birthday party!

Lilly has a new little friend named Scout and so we were invited to the "green" birthday party. The most impressive thing is that the gorgeous cake was made from scratch by her mom Anna. Wow!! Lilly had a great time :)

Life is good with Lilly's new stroller!

We recently had a play date with Emily & Janica (see the Johnson's blog to right for pics). We took them to the park and to see Alexis Perles. It was a lot of fun to see the toddlers together. Emily brought her baby doll stroller to the park and it was all the rage with the youngsters. Yes, a few fights were started over that stroller (mainly with the older toddlers at the park). One little girl would even take it down the slides just so she didn't have to give it up.

Anyhow, now Lilly is the proud owner of her own baby doll stroller. She loves it!! She pushes it in circles around the kitchen island at supersonic speeds. She goes around the house collecting things in it too!

Lilly and her kitten!

Lilly and her cat go everywhere together. Wily is only 8wks old but already is a loyal companion. He meows when he hears Lilly crying. He forgives Lilly when she picks him up by his tail and continues to follow her around the house :).

Swimming with Emily Johnson!

Lilly and I had a play date earlier this summer with Janica and Emily. Janica's apartment's spa was just the right temperature for the girls to go swimming. It was a lot of fun. Now that the girls are toddlers, they're always moving!

The first picture is back in April before they were such busy bodies. They were much easier to pose and Lilly was still letting me put things in her hair.

Lilly gets a chair just her size!

Fun In Arizona

Lilly felt like a hot shot on the plane. She kept looking up at me grinning because she was in a big-person seat. She even got her very own bag of pretzels from the stewardess.

Lilly had a great time visiting her grandparents in their new home. She explored their house and their pool. She loved the pool a lot! If Nanny got in before her, she would just stare at her at the glass door clutching her bathing suite.

Lately, Lilly has been obsessed with my red shoes. She carries them all around, then sets them down, and bends over on all fours attempting to put them on. After many attempts, she slides her little foot to the front of the shoe and tries to walk in it. One day, I came home from work to find she had perhaps gotten frustrated with the shoe and thrown it in the trash ( along with many other random items).
Lilly reminds us of Linus from the Peanuts because she loves her blanket so much. She has always been fond of her blankets but now she walks all over the house hugging them. It's pretty cute.

P.S. Yes we do have a life outside of the house but I never remember to bring my camera. I'll try to take pics elsewhere.

Lilly now 15 months

Lilly keeps me sooo busy these days, I almost forget to take pictures of her!!
She is going on sixteen months and she is as cute as can be. She does her shy, tilted head smile to me when I look at her in the rear view mirror or when visitors say hi to her. She is busy all day long pushing her shopping cart around the house and moving our shoes around. She also loves to crawl up the stairs and say, "Up, up, up" the whole time.

On Sunday, we had the family over for fish tacos. Steve impressed us all with his beer  battered mahimahi. It was such a pleasant time and made us all feel good to have one another around (even Paul made it out). We took a picture of Renae and Raymond with all the kids.

My Brother's Birthday Party!

We all had a great time watching Joe open his gifts. Lilly stood next to him and slapped his knee with excitement. She shouted, "Wow" when he opened his new shirt from Fransisco. Later, she tried to make away with his new Laker keychain and we later found it placed in our bags ready to go home with us.

Lilly's mustache

I was so scared to let Lilly eat by herself because she already manages to make such a mess! To my amazement, she does pretty well. We shot this video because she accidentally gave herself a Hitler mustache with her food and she looked really cute.

Lilly is learning so much. Everyday, she does something new. She recently learned to:
-Find our noses and point to them
-Give a high five
-Push the clothes basket and stroller while standing
-Shout, "Wow!!"
-Say "Uh-oh" every time she drops something
-Eat with a spoon
-Sit with her books and pretend to read the story out loud

The Grandparents watch Lilly for the weekend!!

Steve's family plays with Lilly in this video. We can tell she had a lot of fun with them.  She was a little spoiled when we returned. Suddenly, she would not sleep in her crib or at her bedtime. That's okay though! We were sooo grateful to get away for the weekend. We went on a weekend cruise to Ensanada, Mexico. It was super relaxing!!

Lilly is changing every day!!

Lilly continues to learn all sorts of new skills. In this video, she says duck as she crawls around the kitchen and pulls herself up to retrieve her toys.

Another skill she has learned is whispering. She wakes up in the morning and starts baby talking (which sounds like japanese) in a small voice. So, I whisper back, "I love you too."

Valentines

I forgot to write about our Valentine's Day. We kept it pretty low-key. In fact, we spent most of the day shopping at Costco for Lilly's birthday. But  in the morning, I came down stairs to find theses two sweethearts. Steve fed Lilly and then made a romantic breakfast for the two of us. It seemed that Lilly was in on the surprise because she just sat in her high chair entertaining herself while mommy and daddy enjoyed their time together.

Lilly's Birthday!!

LILLY!!

Lilly had a great time at her first birthday party. She ate
Grandpa DiMaggio's homemade spaghetti for the first time
and had her first cupcake. She didn't even get sick; although,
she sure got a sugar high, That was Ok though because she
was super excited for her toy gifts and burned off the rest of
her energy crawling circles around the house with her cousins.
